Here are some more images of what I've been working on in class. (Here's a link to the last work in progress post from this semester.) The top two images are from the same figurative assignment and will end up as three seperate pieces. The bottom images are the beginnings of a pod series which might end up working out as the realism project, who knows. They are an extension of the concept behind Infected with the Light, which I completed over the summer. The tops, which slightly reference rolling hills, will be glazed with a green lichen and the bodies will be rubbed with black stain. Nested in the 'hills' will be objects of some sort but I haven't gotten there yet. Teeth maybe? More pills? Who knows...

I really like this. The interplay between the form and the surface decoration is spot-on.

I love the (meh) vote I got on this 'in progress' work. I'm curious why it's (meh). Honestly. I love criticism- only way I can get better, right? Please, please, tell me why it's (meh). I am totally serious. I don't get a lot of input at school during the green stage. Opinions of my basic form and texture are invaluable.
