Tyra Forker







These rippling shapes and the beautiful glaze combinations are just delightful. I think it's very tricky to create work that looks as spontaneous and innocent as it does deliberate and skillful.  Forker's pieces embody these juxtapositions wonderfully.

Hi Jesse Lu, glad to see that you are back!
It does take skill to make work like this, I agree. I tend to make work that is tight and smooth, and "fussy." It's probably due to my obsession with control and perfection, but anyway, when I try to do somehting like this, it just looks sloppy and "wrong" somehow. I envy people that CAN work in this style.
