Jérôme Galvin





Now, I think you might have guessed I'm a sucker for anything art brut. These pots by French artist Jérôme Galvin totally hit the spot. I love the reference to blue and white wares from Renaissance Europe, illuminated manuscripts, and oribe pottery from Japan. I love the fact that he effortlessly combines an attention to detail with a crudeness of hand and application. Yum.

    Love the idea of "Art Brut", I had never heard the term, but it's a apt description of a lot of the work that draws my attention.
